President Yoweri Museveni met with the prince of UAE to discuss possible cooperation aiming at mutual benefits for both nations. Among the discussed subjects was the various Investment Opportunities in Uganda.
The meeting took place Saturday evening at the Crown Prince’s Al Meena Palace in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and was attended by Uganda’s foreign affairs minister Gen. Jeje Odongo and finance minister Matia Kashaija.
The Crown Prince welcomed President Museveni to Abu Dhabi, saying his visit was a great opportunity for him (the host) to benefit from his experience, knowledge of security and country building.
“You are welcome Your Excellency to Abu Dhabi. Now that you are here, I am going to benefit from your leadership experience and knowledge especially on security issues,’ he said.
The Crown Prince commended Museveni’s contribution to peace building in the region and pledged to work with him in this effort.
“My Government is willing to work together with Uganda for it is a peaceful region,” he said.
The host directed his Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, who was in attendance, to lead a delegation of high profile business people to Uganda for investment opportunities.
President Museveni thanked his counterpart for the warm reception and invited the Crown Prince to visit Uganda, an invitation he accepted. It is understood he plans to visit on January next year.
